This New York band under the direction of Harry Yerkes apparently was playing in Montreal when these recordings were made. The band was named after the Blue Bird Cafe on Bleury Street in Montreal. These recordings are considered to be the first Jazz recordings made in Canada. Frogs Legs was released under the name of Yerkes Saxophone Sextette. |
