You don't hear a lot of records that feature hot pipe organ, but that is exactly what you get on these songs courtesy of Thomas "Fats" Waller. The songs were recorded in an old church in Camden, New Jersey way back in 1927 and are really quite good. The church acoustics provide a natural reverb which is unusual for records of this era. Thomas Morris is in good form contributing some nice cornet work. |
