Luigi Romanelli led the house band at the Oak Room at King Edward Hotel in Toronto from 1923 until the early 1940s. He was also a band booker and supplied bands under his name for various social occasions in the Toronto area. Luigi's orchestra was the first to broadcast live on radio in Canada starting in 1922 and was heard regularly afterwards on stations CRBC and CBC.

The HMV sides were released as the Metropolitan Dance Orchestra. The Edison sides are probably not Romanelli and his Orchestra.
