Ross Gorman rose to prominence in Paul Whiteman's Orchestra and is probably best remembered today for his original playing of the opening clarinet solo in George Gershwin's Rhapsody In Blue. Here we find him only five years before that classic moment in American music, with his own band making dog sounds on his clarinet in song Barkin' Dog.
